What are the commonly used glass types in glass greenhouses

At present, more and more greenhouse contractors have begun to transform. The thin-film greenhouses have gradually withdrawn from the stage of agricultural greenhouses, and glass greenhouses have begun to show their prominence.

First, let's talk about where glass can be used in the greenhouse

The first is the choice of glass on the side wall

At present, the most used side wall glass is hollow glass, which is characterized by relatively strong thermal insulation, and the side wall has not particularly high requirements for light transmittance. Generally, 5mm tempered glass + 6A + 5mm tempered glass (5mm tempered glass) The glass is float glass) hollow glass.

Greenhouse glass type

Ordinary float glass

Secondly, my client is using diffuser hollow glass, 5mm diffuser + 6+5mm diffuser glass (5mm diffuser is ultra-white glass).

Greenhouse glass type

Ultra-white glass

Generally, the first type of greenhouse is more commonly used. One is that the price is cheap, and the light rate of the side wall is not high, so there is no special requirement. For safety, it is recommended to use tempered glass, or ordinary float glass that is not tempered.

The second type of scattering side wall glass uses very little. One is the cost comparison, and the second is that no one has used it. Few people invest in the latter to experiment with the effect.

Greenhouse glass type

The second is the top glass selection

At present, the most commonly used is ordinary float tempered glass

Advantages: cheap price, sufficient supply;

Disadvantages: low light transmittance, not much effect on crop growth;

Followed by super white tempered glass

Advantages: the light transmittance is better than 90%-91%, the price is beautiful, and it has a certain effect of increasing production;

Disadvantages: There are no major disadvantages, but there are no major advantages either

The high-quality is ultra-white scattering glass

Advantages: high light transmittance of 91.5%, strong scattering, light selectivity, and high yield increase efficiency;

Disadvantages: high price, low output

Best recommended ultra-white anti-reflective glass

Advantages: high light transmittance of 97.5%, strong scattering, light selectivity, and high yield increase efficiency;

Disadvantages: high price, low output

How to choose greenhouse glass

If recommended, ordinary float tempered glass is recommended for the side wall. The cost is low. The lack of light can be supplemented by the top glass. The hemispheric light transmittance of the side wall is too low, which has little effect on crop growth. The top glass is recommended to start with ultra-white tempered glass, and ordinary float glass is not recommended. In the case of sufficient funds, first consider ultra-white scattering glass, followed by ultra-white anti-reflective glass. Greenhouse ultra-white anti-reflective glass is mainly used in scientific research greenhouses or nursery greenhouses, medical greenhouses, etc.
