Therefore, the most basic transmittance of the glass panel used on the top of the greenhouse is 91.5%. If you want a higher transmittance, you can use double-sided coating, which can reach a transmittance of 97.5%.

 

97.5% transmittance is the best glass specification in the greenhouse industry.

 

Haze value: In some areas with too much light, such as countries near the equator, you need to consider how to solve the problem of too much light without changing the transmittance. Therefore, the haze of the glass comes into being accordingly.

 

Haze, we call it hemispherical transmittance. Starting from the first ray of light shining into the greenhouse, to the last ray of sunlight shining into the greenhouse.

 

The conclusion drawn from the average light intensity of the whole day is called haze.

 

The higher the haze, the lower the hemispherical transmittance will be, and vice versa.

 

Here are the points we should be careful of: Don't use ordinary white glass, glass without haze specifications

 

Don't use ordinary white glass: The transmittance of ordinary white glass is 88%-89%. For greenhouse planting, the plants get too little sunlight and the crops do not grow, so it is not suitable for use in greenhouses.

 

Glass without haze specifications: How to judge the haze of glass, we can shine a beam of light on it after getting the glass, and the laser pen works best.

 

Cast the light on the wall one meter away to see the size of the light spot, and then enlarge it year by year. On a greenhouse 5-8 meters high, how big is the light spot projected on the plant.

The energy of a beam of light is limited. If it is too scattered, the light will be weak. If the light is too weak, nothing can grow in the greenhouse.
