Differences in the design and use of two ventilation methods for glass greenhouses

The ventilation system of the glass greenhouse is divided into two types: winter closed greenhouse use and summer and spring ventilation, so the design and configuration are very different.

1. Elements of winter ventilation system design

In cold seasons, the greenhouse is often in a closed state, the indoor air does not flow, the relative humidity is high, and it is easy to condense on the leaves, causing harm to crops. In order to make the air flow in the greenhouse, reduce the humidity of the leaves, make the indoor temperature and humidity evenly distributed, and eliminate the indoor cold spots, hot spots and high humidity points in the dense leaf area, an air circulation system needs to be added.

2. Winter ventilation design parameters

Air supply belt air supply

First, hang a plastic air supply pipe along the greenhouse gutter at the bottom. The plastic air supply pipe is evenly distributed with air supply ports around it. A positive pressure fan is installed at the end of the air duct to supply air to the shed.

The second is to use multiple low-power circulation fans with a power of about several hundred watts, which are suspended on the greenhouse skeleton structure. Several rows can be installed along the span direction of the greenhouse to relay air supply above the crop layer to achieve air circulation.

The fan should be suspended vertically on the ground, at least 0.6~0.9m away from the crop. The fan spacing should not be greater than 30 times the diameter of its impeller. The distance between the last fan and the end wall is about 4.5^-6.0m. The fan flow rate should be selected so that the total flow rate meets the air volume of 10L/s per square meter of ground.

3. Reasons for natural ventilation design in summer

Natural ventilation is the process of using natural wind pressure or air gravity to generate and maintain a certain pressure difference for indoor and outdoor ventilation. It mainly relies on the transpiration of crops to reduce the air temperature and keep it at an acceptable level for crops. Natural ventilation basically consumes no energy and is the most economical ventilation method. It should be used first when conditions permit.

4. Summer ventilation design parameters

1. The area of the side window is generally half of the area of the side wall.

2. The area of the skylight should not be less than 15%~20% of the floor area of the greenhouse. Sometimes half of the roof can also be used as a window. Increasing the height difference between the skylight and the side window is conducive to improving ventilation conditions. The best position for the skylight is the highest point of the roof.

The diffuse glass and AR-coated diffuse glass produced by Yuhua have cooperated with many large commercial greenhouses in agriculture, horticulture, nurseries and experiments. We have cooperated with large greenhouse project companies such as Havecon, Van Der Hoeven, Kubo, etc. for many years. Yuhua greenhouse glass has a light transmittance of up to 99%, and haze 5/10/20/30/50/70/75 greenhouse diffuse glass is available!
